(1)The three different states of the interaction is off, light up one by one according to the distance and all Leds light up.

 

(2)I used 2 ultrasonic sensor. Besides that, I also want to use flexiforce pressure sensor to detect the pressure. When people press the painting, it will also form a heart shape on the picture.

 

(3)A lot of people would love to put a painting on the wall for aesthetics, however, these paintings/pictures are only used for decoration and are static. I was wondering how to make this kind of art to be dynamic and can improve interaction between people. The first time when people pass by in front of the painting, the light will flash for a second; After people notice this, they would come close to the painting and find out what's going on. They will find that if they come close to the specific area of the painting, the light will light up, the closer to the painting, the more leds will light up. Meanwhile, the effect of the painting will becomes better and the outline of the face will show up clearly. What's more, if you are with your partner or friend, you guys can put your hands on the painting together and give the communication by generating the painting together.

 

(4)The main difficult part of this project is the craft hand-making part. If the paper is too thick, the effect of the painting will not good;If the paper is too thin, the whole painting will broken. Besides, if I solder it on the backside, it will easily cause shortcircuit; if I use wire, I can't control the length and difficult to hide all the wire. Finally, I used print paper and sloder all the wires. It cause shortcircuit at first but I fixed it later.

 

(5)I want to improve this interaction in two ways:The first is the Technique part, I want to give the painting more function, using more sensors, create more different effects and states.

The second is give the painting itself more meaning, like story narrative, time differents.
